We are beyond excited to share that we already have an active project – Bushscapes Conservation Africa. Located in the heart of the Zambian wilderness, adjacent to the South Luangwa National Park. See the documents section for maps.
And to help support this Project we registered a non-profit company with the same name in Zambia. We need additional funding to scale up and address all the needs required in making this area self-sustaining for its people.
We started working with the Communities under the Royal Establishment of Chief Chisomo whom are resident in the Chisomo Game Management Area (GMA) along the south-Western boundaries of the South Luangwa National Park. This area is close to 400,000 hectares (almost 1 million acres). Since 2020 it has been funded by private individuals all sharing the same passion with the ultimate goal of helping the communities which live in and around this GMA.
Prior to Mumembe Safaris operating the GMA it had been totally mismanaged with a result that animal populations have been significantly depleted due to poaching. So how do we link the commercial operations to the community project and enabling the people to become self-sustaining?

Work on this started actively in 2020, personally funded by individuals , and has already made a positive impact in the area. However, private individuals have limited resources, and to make the necessary next steps we are looking for impactful donations from the corporate world.
